Default Opti wiring harness?

Just wondering if a wiring harness on a 94 obd1 is different than a 96 obd2.

Yep, it sure is, but the OBD type has nothing to do with it. 93-94 optis (non-vented) use one harness, 95-97 optis (vented) use another.

Thanks for the information. I had to replace my opti i had a msd. Went with a oem opti with msd cap and rotor. I didn't have the stock wiring harness so i put one off a 94 on there and its just crankin but wont start.

An early harness has a short plug at the opti end. The later harness is long there. An early harness will never make contact with the opti pins on the vented model.
