AS IF people don't already respect you and the SWEET car you've built. Sometimes you have to do things you don't necessarily want to do, but you got to do them to get by
appreciate the kind words.... yeah KC is quite a haul for me either way but I had the funds set aside to make it.... just bad timing.... I want the nitrous record so now that i'm back i'm focused on that and making pinks all out seattle in august....

Well current status is that the car is running better than it ever has. I'm trying to align my engine builder, my tuner and my chassis guy all at the same time to show up at the track and straight go for broke.... I've been doing all my tuning leaving on a 150 shot to get the car to 60 foot without smashing into the wheelie bars... so far it's gone well.... It's tight up front though and the car barely touches the wheels on the bars with them set like 8" from the ground.... So we're going to take the limiters one hole looser up front and leave on the 150 first pass and see what that does. I went 1.42 on the 150 not coming out super hard and almost bogging.... So hopefully it improves.... Then we're going to put a 150/150 to it bringing in the 2nd unit 1.0 seconds in..... I think that will get us somewhere in the 9.25-9.35 range... If we don't have to retighten the front end we'll leave it and put it on a 175/175 jetting combo.... We're hoping that'll be enough to take it down to the 9.0-9.1 range....

If all is well and AF ratios look good we're gonna put 5 more gallons of C16 in the tank and put it on a 225 out the hole and a 175 like 1.2 seconds in.... If it goes straight, and doesn't break the wheelie bars in half I think it'll be more than enough power to run in the 8's... but it's gotta be a clean pass and i gotta stay in the groove which lately has been easier said than done....

That's the plan next time out barring no issues.....

Josh,

Of course I remember you. You need to bring your car out to the next one of these things. How well is it running? It to be killer in the N/A class.

Bring a bunch of your LT1 buddies. It would be a cool road trip.

Take Care,

Daren

Car has ran good at Mooresville, rear end broke last november finally got it back together, Jonathan changed the oil in it a couple of days ago and on the magnetic oil plug there was to strange pieces of metal and dont know where it has come from, gonna post pics here soon to possibly see what it could be. The last time the oil was changed it had the same to pieces of metal on the plug and we didnt think nothing of it, but know im worried what it could be cause it has great oil pressure and nothing seems a miss. Im hopin that the lifters arent screwing up. There comp R's and i hear horror stories about them but it has been put together right.

I also had a blast even though my car didn't make it, and also I had to leave before the finals back to Texas due to an emergency so I did not get to see or help Tony on his final pass and win. Man, 13 hours straight drive back was fun!
