Crane 227 cam, LT headers, CAI, stall, 3.73 gears, and some weight reduction should be on your to-do list.

yeah, i have plans for this car. it is completely stock right now. i want to port aluminum stock GM LT1 heads with LPE 211/219 cam or custom small cam from AI with bolt-on mods LT headers, Borla exhaust system, CAI ported intake manifold, holley 58mm....etc

which headers are best for this car are they the hooker LT's? what about LPP headers?

btw is there a tuning software other than the OBD2 LT1 edit? i heard about the jet software, is the jet software released?

later i want to install in this car a 441ci dart LT1 short block 4.190" bore X 4.000" stroke with 11 to 11.5:1 compression, matched AI CNC TFS 21* , AI custom cam and AI ported LT1 intake.

i just remembered, i came a cross an idea this morning that to install the world products SBC Motown LS block and use LS heads that way i will make way to much power but my concern is that i will need LS1 PCM and wiring harness my concern is will the factory speedo, RPM gauge and other factory gauges and other factory PCM dependent sensors will they work correctly with the LS1 PCM?

what is needed to make the factory gauges and other factory PCM dependent sensors to work with LS1 PCM?

also obviously i will need custom LT headers or at least modified LS LT headers for my car? from where to get these LT headers?

thanks.

Don't forget about a higher stall and gears. They are a huge factor into making your car faster and more fun to drive.

i truely don't like gears and stall so i think i will keep them stock and since i only drive the car on the street just rarely going to the drag strip. i will just mod the engine and the transmission.

i liked the idea of the wolrd products Motown SBC LS block i will see if i can do it specialy that i like the firing order of the SBC/LT1 engines much better than the LS1 firing order due to much beautiful exhaust sound.

i have a question though, can i make the firing order of the LS1 engine the same as SBC/LT1 engine firing order? is it doable?

The Jet s/w is in production and is much better than LT1Edit. It has a lot more features, which of course makes it more complex. Jegs and Summit carry it, not sure who ships internationally.
Unfortunately, those are your only two options. You will also need scanner/logging s/w, such as AutoTap. And a wideband, such as an LC1 or LM1.

Join the club stick an ls engine click on the link in my sig. And to put an ls motor in an impala you do have to get the ls pcm and harness but u cut the lt harness before the fuse box and mate the ls harness so you can still use the factory guages and stuff. People have done it and that's what I'm doing. Its easy to do you just need time.

And the firing order is differant. But put a big cam on the ls1 and it sounds mean also.

And I am using the ebay 200 dollar fbody ls1 headers. two primaries on the passenger side need to be modified and one on the driver.
