Default LT4 intake....sort of

haha..j/k...i'm only painting my lt1 intake red..

i took it off b/c i had a leak up front where the last guy had barely put any silicone at all...so i figured i would clean it up and paint it while i had it off..has anyone else painted their intake? tips?

also..any pointers for the re-install would be helpful as well

Clean all the grease off well, sand it or use scotch brite to rough it up some, prime it, then paint it the color you want. Use duplicolor 1,200* stuff and use several coats. Works great and is pretty cheap. For reinstall just take your time run a nice bead, and try to drop it flat down so it doesn't mess up the bead.

Yup. I had mine powder coated for $50.00 and it looks better than GM.

Regular engine paint will work fine & there is no need to prime it if you cleaned it properly.
