Default What do I need for installing headers?

Will I need to have a bolt kit, gaskets, or anything like that for when I install headers.

A nice set of 1" exhaust manifold bolts would be good. Also some new copper exhaust manifold gaskets would be nice. You will need a pair of o2 extensions.

Do you already have a compatible y-pipe and clamps?

I am going to buy some pacesetters from summit and the picture shows gaskets. The website says that most pacesetter products come with hardware and gaskets. Is this true?

When i bought my P.S long tubes and y they came with bolts and gaskets. Only thing i had to buy was clamps for the exhaust.

Yeah, I used the bolts that came with the headers, but I would never use their POS gaskets that they supply with their headers.

You can use those clamps. My buddy did without issue. I choose to use 3" band clamps. Then I got fed up with clamps all together and just welded up the whole exhaust. When the time comes to remove the headers, a simple sawzall and a reweld is all I'll need.

Yes, you will have to buy the ext's seperately. I got mine from JEGS, but I don't know if they carry them anymore.

this setup on speed engineering show pictures of the O2 extensions and says that there are wire extensions for the O2 sensors, but then at the bottom of the page it looks like they want you to buy O2 extensions separate. I am confused. here is the link. http://speed-eng.com/store/pacesette...ce-p-8306.html

They give you wire, crimp, and looms to extend the o2 sensor wiring yourself, but I didn't do that and opted to get a nice pair of 24" Caspers Electronics o2 extensions.

So, correct me if I am wrong, but I can pretty much get by with just purchasing the headers and off road y pipe, and if I want I can buy better gaskets and O2 extensions. Am I missing anything?

Another think you should know, that link you posted is for painted headers, just FYI, that paint will burn off in less than a hour of running the car. I had painted headers, all the paint is gone now. But I don't care really. When I need new replacements, I'll be sure to get some stainless steel headers. Maybe LPP's. I would get the Ceramic coated PS headers if you can't afford SS, the coating will last long enough.

If I am not driving the car in the winter I will not have any problems with them rusting or corroding or anything like that will I?

you need a 13 year old chinese circus girl

what slp said is right, the paint will burn off and fast, the sticker on a header primary lasted longer than the paint. and even in FL with zero snow my headers were rusty
