I can't help but think cutouts must sound like a$$. Don't they sound like a hole in your exhaust?

The ones I've heard do. Dont ever run a cutout on your GMMG system. I had one for years, back when they were the new thing on GMMG's website. The sound they produce is unmatched for a street car. I had folks telling me at stop lights, gas stations, pizza shops, everywhere how good it sounded. I run 3" duals now, and they are nasty and mean sounding, but there have been many times I wish I kept the GMMG and had a smooth yet agreesive rumble instead of a freakish mean sound of the duals. Although I will say I run a chambered muffler similar to the GMMG on my duals, so it's like a GMMG sound with more attitude.

I ran them for a day about a year ago. I must admit it sounds freakishly mean, but gets very annoying if you actually plan on driving anywhere very far. On the other hand it was nice completely drowning out and scaring away loud ricers.

Yeah, open headers is fun...for a while. I drove my car with open headers for a week while I waited for my y-pipe to arrive. It was cool for the first day, but when you can't hear your radio with it on max volume and you have to scream into the ear of your passenger, it gets quite annoying...

The best so far is on the highway in 6th gear doing 70 while giving it a little bit of gas. Produces this amazing deep low pitched growl.
It gets even better with a cam and high compression...
