Default Golen CNC Heads

I am looking into a head cam swap and I am looking at the obvious 2 already, AI AND LE but the current GM hightech performance has a set of golen heads that are CNC ported. They faired quite well against the AFR and ported trickflows. Also they are a pretty good deal at 1,500 outright for a set of brand new LT1 heads that they have CNC'd. Would these heads with a custom cam from Joe O or Breat Bower be a good set-up for 420hp at the wheels.

Thanks, Josh

Overton hasn't been around for a few years once people found out he was playing "pin the tale on the cam lobe" when he would "design" a cam, and Bert Bower doesn't hack out LT1 cams anymore. Your best bet is to get a heads/cam combination that is designed to work together and IMO the shop that can give you the best performance for the money would be AI if you want a aggressive combination that is still street friendly. If you are looking for an emissions legal type setup then my next vote would be Lingenfelter heads and their LPE/Accel 211/219 cam.

If you want to be different I would go with some TEA or ETP heads, you couldn't pay me to put anything from golen on my car. Then again I couldn't be happier with the choice I made to go with Ai. Awesome results and customer service.
