im looking to byeing a motor out of a 1992 vette and i was wonderin if they came with the lt1 or lt4 motor and what i need to switch over to fit it in me 93 ta thanks jon

 

it came with the LT1. To make it work you will need the acc. bracket you need has to be an f-body acc. This will utilize the factory positioning of the accessories.

 

what about the crank hub snd its a 4 bolt lt1 right

 

Just so ya know, the only LT4's that came from the factory were in 1997 WS6 and SS models. And there were less than 200 at that, so you'd be a lucky bastard to find an original.

The hubs should be the same for 93-95, crank pulley may be different. Vettes should have 4 bolt main caps.

Not quite, they built 108 97 LT4 SS cars, I believe 2 were GM cars, 6 were for Canada and the rest were for sale in the U.S. They also built 29 Firehawks with the LT4, they never built any WS6s.

 

ok in vettes the lt4 only came in them in 96 if the car was equipped with a 6-speed. all others were lt-1's. as far as i can remember im right. just trying to help you out.
