Default security light

is it possible that your security system can keep your car from starting, my light is on all the time and sometimes my car will start and sometimes it wont.

Yes. Unless your ignition lock cylinder reads the pellet value of your key that matches what's stored in the BCM, the BCM won't supply a ground to your starter relay and it won't send a signal to your PCM to allow your fuel injectors to fire.

You could have a bad key, bad ignition cylinder, or faulty BCM.

You can easily bypass the whole system if you want.
