Flywheel Chatter Back in the days of my E36 M3 - I had a 12lb lightweight flywheel. When in neutral that thing would chatter and make noise like no other, but it was normal because it was aftermarket.
I have some slight flywheel chatter with my LT1, I just noticed the other day. It's not anywhere close to how bad the M3 was, but it's there if i listen for a second and the car is hot. Is this normal? Or is this a sign of significant repairs in the immediate future?

alright so i guess i will pull the tranny and replace the Pilot bearing and T/O bearing.
According to the previous owner the clutch has been replaced - my car only has 90k so im assuming the clutch is in good condition. How do i tell when i remove the tranny if the clutch is in good shape? I'll probably go ahead and resurface the flywheel/replace the rear main seal while im in there.
anyone have a good write-up on removing a t56?
