Default trying to get info on turbo stuff

Hey guys i was looking in forced induction but of course since this is ls1tech its all for ls1 cars. Im just trying to get info on a turbo set up. I have been tossing the idea around about turbo charging my 94 z28. I plan on probably goin either 355 or 383 all forged engine. I saw a good kit i think on ai's website. Im gonna definitely do a 12 bolt or 9in and then get a good built t56 into my car. My question is this, what all else goes with doing a turbo set up? I have no idea what all goes with it or what kinda power i could make. I would like to push over 500 but i still gotta pass emissions. Is this even possible with emissions and stuff cause i have to run the sniffer test not just plug in.

Its possible to pass emissions with a turbo. it mainly effects your 3/4 throttle up emissions if anything.. you mainly need a kit ,homemade or bought, turbo, fuel pump and injectors and tune or tuning software. that will get ya started
