op I would look into those stainless ebay headers. I thought they were right around 469.00 with y.

Here is a different set for 400.00 shipped with y!

I would probably go with some of the cheap stainless knock offs as opposed to a mild steel header.

Yea they are.
I did the math and they flow about 13% more over the 1 3/4 Headers. With my L92 Heads it's supposed to be a considerable gain over a 1 3/4 Header.

Believe it or not I still have stock LT1 Mounts in my Car..

I have alot of room as far as Steering clearance with the LS1 setup.

When my current ones rust out or get torn up cause of rubbing on things then I'm upgrading to the 1 7/8's.

The only thing with them is it will be a LOUD ****..like more stupid loud than it already is..

Wrapping them voids the warranty on the coating and it is a huge pain in the ***. I wrapped my pacesetters but I bought the painted ones with the intention of media blasting them, doing the coating myself, then wrapping them. It is nice once its done and the heat wrap works much better than just ceramic coating but if you had asked me while I was doing it I would have told you that it was by far the worst idea I have ever had.

They were a pain wrapping them when they were not installed, I am going to go out on a limb and say that it would be impossible to do while they are installed on an Fbody
