Default Procharged 1996 Trans Am ??? Please Help!

1996 Procharged car with stock injectors and fmu. High voltage MAF code 0103 is present. GM/S reading is between 12-13 @ idle. Where should it normally be and does this probaly mean the MAF sensor is bad. Any help would be greatly aprreciated. Don't want to waste money on a sensor if I don't need it. Allready tried cleaning at it still runs dumb rich. Car is also sending code 0171 which is lean bank 1.

there are 2 options. 1) you can run a maf translator to keep the "high" mass air code from being set. Or 2) a tuner can do the same by editing the dtc error reporting table in the pcm. Ditch the fmu and get a walbro 255lph pump and svo 42lb injectors. your maf is reading correct at 12-13 gps.

Allready have 42 lb SVO injectors and a Walbro pump just need to be installed. Want to have all codes clear before I install them. i installed the supercharger last year and the car ran good up until recently. Now it seems to run real rich(black smoke from tail pipes, AFR gauge is @ around 10:1 @ idle but goes up @ rev between 12:1-15:1, and the car is breaking up real bad). My ECT sensor was bad and that was when it started to run like that. When you beat on it clears out after some roughness(like its loaded up) but then when you go back to cruisin' it pops and runs like ****. I just got a good used MAF to try but I haven't installed it yet. Do you think maybe my plugs are ****(2nd set of TR55's in less than 2,000 miles)WTF. Any thoughts?

i belive the 96-97 cars require the ATI MAF massager to run a procharger without tuning.

Even with that they still need to be tuned, but he nailed the hammer on the head.

The car ran decent without the translater for awhile (until about two weeks ago it didn't even throw these codes but it was throwing DTC 0100). The car was tuned by a reputable dynotuner last august. He ordered a MAF translator but now I think I would rather have it set out of the PCM. I don't think this is why it is running so rough(rich)but maybe it has something to do with it. Is there a benefit of having the MAF translator over the PCM MAF range being overridden? Also does anyone have any more ideas as to what could possibly be the problem????

Changed 6 of the plugs yesterday then i dropped my custom s/plug socket into K-member and had no magnet to get it out. Anyways the driver side plugs were straight rich black but the passenger side were black with tannish electrodes. I'm thinking maybe this is from the FMU, or maybe something else. Any thoughts or am I just talking to myself?

I'm guessing here since its been so long dealing with fmu's, but I'd bet there's a hole in the diaphragm..... just my guess
