Are you sure you bleed the system properly? Stock fan settings?

The stock cooling system works very well. The baddest out there would brabably be a BeCool radiator, but that big $$$.

When was the last time you had it flushed? It shouldn't be running at 230 if your fans are running all the time. I don't think your mods are to blame. You might have a fault in your cooling system somewhere.

I had overheating problems with my 383 but supercharged. I also have ac and it would get hot in traffic. try this first. I put radiator cleaner not the 10 minute stuff, the one that says to drive for a couple of hours, I drove it for a few days. Then I went to a wrecking yard and bought a electric fan off of a Honda or simular, Only paid $20. I wedged the fan in front of the radiator and brace and wired it to the stock fans...After that, I could Idle all day in traffic with the ac on in the Texas heat..
