Diagnostic Problem

Diagnostic Problem I have a 94 lt1 m6.
When I drive it runs super rich and about half the time if i try and give it gas it will bog down real bad and not accelrate. I tried replacing the spark plugs but there was no change so im figuring 02 sensors next?
The other problem is I tried using a scan tool to find what codes it has been throwing but when i plug the scanner in the check engine light goes off and never displays the codes any ideas? Is my OBD fried?

mine did that a while back. i did a full tune up (cap,rotor,plugs,wires) and it went away. sounds like your opti is bad. and you are probably using a code clearer. thats why you cant see the codes
