That's a nice Z. Stripper no option car, 2002, 11k miles....I bet that car will be worth a pretty penny in the future A4 and all!

KBB value and current market value don't always go hand in hand. I know here in Cali no one would give you 7200 for a stock '96 z28, other places it's a different story.
That being said I'm sure you're not screwing your brother over, so the price you guys agreed upon must be good considering that the car is modded.

My neighbor 2 houses down bought a 150k 96 white formula for $7,800....Didn't know the guy too well. I talked to him when he bought the car.

It came with a sound system but it had a cooling issue due to the wrong head gasket being put on. I don't think he know's how to turn a bolt. He had some builder put an lt4 kit on it. He paid around another 4k for all that to be done. I tried to tell him not to do it and to come to the forums, but I got the whole I know what I am talking about thing right back at me....

His loss...

Nice ride but the A4 will be a huge dissapointment unless all you do is drag race. I made that mistake B4. Sold my 97 LT1 M6 for a brand new 00 Formula A4 regretted it from day one, even though the A4 was faster at the track mod for mod.

yea I might, although I really liked the a4 when I drove it. Since my brother is buyin the 96, we can just switch cars from time to time then lol. I am just ready for somethin different, thats all...My brother has the money to put forced induction back on it, wich it was built for, I do not unfortunately. But hey, I will get to drive it still so I am stoked! If he decides to sell it, I am in-line first to buy it back, no worries.

Thanks man. It's nice having siblings that are into cars. You get to drive nice rides without owning them all lol.

I can't believe he paid $7,800 for a 150k '96 Formy. Down here (Cali) you can get a high-mileage '98-'99 LS1 SS for that price.

I take it you're going for the new-ness, novelty and possible appreciation of owning that LS1?

Because I mean, your LT1 will basically blow that LS1 out of the water.

and i would pay around 9 or 10k to bye a LOW mileage lt1 that only has 1100 miles on it especially if it was from my bro so i new what i was buying and that i wasn’t being sold someone else’s problem.... but i would not pay 2 grand for a high mileage 150 k or more from someone i didn’t know, unless i was planning on puling the motor and what not... but that’s just me... the new car is nice and that is A pretty good deal, that you are going to be able to keep your car in the family so like you said you can switch from time to time if you wanted to

Yea pretty much. I don't have the mod funds right now, got other priorities. I just want a 330-340whp stock motor car and a little spray for now. My bro has the money for the m9 rear and the forced induction it was built for. So I'm sellin it to him so he can finish it and ill drive it from time to time. Wich is all I do now anyways lol.

Makes sense in your situation. Plus the LS1 will be a much better DD in your case, driving around an FI 383 LT1 - not so much. Good call though on this LS1, make sure you keep the miles down and don't bang it up.
