Default 2k rpms?

Okay I've been dealing with this for awhile. For some reason sometimes my engine wants to keep the revs at 2k...only happens every once in a while and usually stays at 2k if im lightly on the throttle...for example if im cruising around on the highway in 6th around 2k rpms w/ light throttle and let off sometimes it will stay at 2k and not slow down unless i flip the pedal then it will lower the rpms or sometimes when im accelerating slowly when i push the clutch in the change gears the rpms will rise to 2k....almost like the tb is getting stuck but I've cleaned it out and there seems to be no binding nor any vacuum leak...if it matters this should be the stock tb

Sounds like the idle air control valve might be carboned up.

you think the iac would let enough air through to let the car idle at 2k rpm? To me it just seems weird bcs it only happens when there was very light throttle applied

Either IAC or sticky TB. Hook up a scanner and see what the IAC counts and TPS voltage is at when the rpm's are hanging.
