Question CC503 Lope

How much lope can a CC503 produce on its 112 LSA grind?

There are dozens of videos of cars with the 503. Just do a YouTube search and you'll find plenty.

Or, I'll just answer with "some."

I looked at most of the CC503 vids on youtube, none are clear enough to show the lope.

I have been thinking of getting a cam a tad bigger with duration as well, since I do intend to upgrade my heads (pull them off and have them ported or order some good ones) when I get some more cash saved up, that saves me the hassle of doing a cam swap twice.

I will be running stock stall for the 1st month, with stock gears. Then I will buy a Vig or Yank 3200 or 3600 and 3.42s. After that, save up for some head work or better heads all together.

The car will probably never see the track, or maybe just a few runs to see what it could run. Its just to have fun, and thats it.

I have been looking at other cams, but some that won't need a lot of porting to work efficiently.

LOL, that's yours? I listened to that video like three times as my CC503 and the rest of my valvetrain was on it's way from Summit. What is your idle set to? Mine is set to 750. Lope is nice.

OP, the CC503 has a great sound to it, but even better is the power under the curve that you will get out of that cam if you are using stock heads.

myltwon's video is the reason I went with the cc503. Now my idle is set to 850 When it goes back to the tuner to redo I'm having him lower it.

depending on the weather mine idles 700 to 800 rpms. 700 rpms sounds awsome with the cc503. you can really hear it count the cylinders off. it still sounds good at 800 though

mine loped pretty good but had some cam surge at that low of an rpm so I raised the idle to 950 and the surge is gone...but so is a ot of the lope

What exhaust were you running in that video? That really sounded nice.

I currently run an SLP resonator only, but will be mating it with Pacesetters race headers and 3" ORY. But I will be switching to a Hooker Aerochamber.

Whats the size of the inlet and outlet? Does it still have the inlet flange or you cut it off and welded it? Does it have tips on or turn downs?

Post a pic if possible, would like to see it. I run single 3" polished tips but want to go turn downs with the Aerochamber.
