ok thanks. i was hoping that i would gain about 15 hp from it. ive got a guy with a new charger that wants to race me. idk what all he has on his car but im sure he still has a hp advantage on me. im hopeing that i can get a couple car lengths on him if the belt is off.

also do you know how long you can drive without the accesory belt hooked up?

15 HP? Not a chance, IMHO. Better make sure your battery is in good charge. Fuel pump and spark rely on adequate power and if voltage goes down, you may actually lose performance.

well i have seen that underdrive pully kits added 8 rwhp so i didnt think it would be to outof line for it to gain around 15 at the flywheel not having to turn the accesories to 6500

back to back dyno results on my car 2 weeks ago showed a 10rwhp gain from running with the belt, to without...

better have one hell of a battery if you're gonna run some guy on the street w/ no belt.

I'd do it at the track, wouldn't waste my time on the street though personally

take your back seat, spare, jack, that extra battery and your front sway bar, that'll give you the equivalent of 15 hp in weight reduction

/\ on a LT the only thing the belt runs is your A/C ALT and PS i never had A/C so that was never a problem and i dont honestly think losing that little bit of a margin is worth losing PS unless its a race for money or something and i need every slight advantage i would but if anything id pull the belt right as im sitting in the lanes and push the car forward untill i got to the line ran and as soon as i got my slip pull to the side throw the belt back on and let it run for a few minutes to recharge the battery on any charge it lost. just my two pennies tho lol
