quick egr question

quick egr question ok my car is finally very slowly going back together... i just put the egr block off plates on it but how long do i have to wait to start it now? im going insane wanting it on the road again.
also how do i get the tiny plastic things that hold the intake manifold gaskets in place out of the heads?

You want to let the RTV that seals the front and rear of the intake manifold cure over night.
Do you mean you still have the old tabs in there? You could try and drill them out carefully.

ok so just overnight? and i got them out with an angled razor blade the one shaped like /_____\ worked great i just very carefully stuck it into the plastic as far as it would go and pulled up.
