Well the cruise control box is electroncally controlled and connects to your TB. So regardless of what transmission you use, I would think that cruise control would be unaffected. But I'm a T56 guy...

I was a T56 guy and went th350 you can still use cruise control. I didnt I removed it but it will still work. I think you might have to get the right speedo gears to make it work right though.

Something has to tell it how fast you are going, and that is the VSS..our T56's have that..as well as just about all of the newer stuff.

You have to have the Speedo Signal sent to the PCM. If you have one of them little parts that goes on the TH350 to convert the Speedo Signal into an electronic one then you will be good.

The cruise will turn on, but it won't set a speed cause it has no signal sent to it telling it what speed to stay at unless you get the PCM the Signal.

That is what I was unsure of. I didnt know what controlled the cruise. Didnt know if was an independent sensor or from the PCM. Happen to know where to get the sensor to convert the th350 to electric?

Tie a string to your TB lever arm. Run it to the inside of the cabin. When you want to stay at a steady speed, take up the slack and tie the string to something.

LOL, JK. Merv's links should help you out. Good luck.

I have all the conversion pieces you would need except for that signal box but I have the black cable driven piece in the picture. I dont know what I did with the box maybe they can sell you the box for cheaper and I can hook you up with the rest of the stuff. If you really want cruise control. Just let me know
