My 95' lt1 needs a alternator, which one are you guyz runnin? I did a search and found that Autozone is crap and Advance is not that much better. GM wants $200 and I don't know if it is new or "premium reman". Please lend some advice, I don't want to change this thing over and over!

I just had mine rebuilt, can't beat $60 and the shop does great work. I would look into that locally if I were you.

 

if it is a bearing going out you can take it apart and replace the bearings... i did this for only $20. u can buy the bearings from an alternator repair shop. or you can just have them rebuild it... either way it will be cheaper than buying new and you will get to keep the original gm alternator
