While the LT1 deserves respect, the LS1 is a better powerplant. They make more power and ultimately run quicker/faster quarter-mile times.

I don't even know why people keep going on with these LT1 vs. LS1 debates. It's really pointless!

Is it just me or does every manual guy have a bad, slipping or destroyed clutch? I believe you because it's in your sig but it just seems funny that every bad M6 time or lost race gets blamed on the clutch

The fastest recorded LS1 stock time is 12.8 that I know of. It took me full exhaust, lid and a 3500 stall to run 12.4's. As far as DA goes I didn't notice you were from Vegas. I wouldn't personally live anywhere with that high of elevation (Vegas, New Mexico, Denver, ect). And if I did I would probably find a different hobby

Exactly!

The LS1 was the the next generation of motor for a reason. It made more power and was an overall better design. Stock for stock and mod for mod the LS1 is in the lead. Call me crazy but I think GM might have planned it that way

So we've all came to the conclusion that the LS1 is better designed and superior to the LT1, like GM planned it to be. LS1 guys also shouldn't hate on LT1 guys and LT1 guys shouldn't hate on LS1 guys. All of us F-bodies should stick together! TO EACH THEIR OWN

You must be racing nothing but stock ls1s. You posted about two months ago that your car ran 8.38 in the 1/8th. Thats pretty slow for the **** your talking.

x2, my best friend in a 00 SS ran a 12.9 bone stock to the paper filter. Nowhere close to that ow. It took me quite a bit of bolt-on's to get there...

Although 8.3 in the 1/8th isn't bad at all its still nothing to **** your pants over.
