Yeah it might be the stall. Installing a 383 and keeping the rest of your set up identical just to get a little more torque would be a big waste of money IMO.

WRONG...they will try and sell you the camshaft that best suites your application. Those specs on their sites mean jack ****. Their not going to just try and sell you something laying around just to get it off their hands...or shelf for that matter. Do some searchng man and call up Ron and Phil at Advanced Induction. You have a lot to learn and they will be the ones to better tech you. Not 96capricer or the 90% of other guys on here.

WTF? I am keeping my torque converter and cam!! I am still going from a factory shortblock and stock heads to a 383 and ported heads, if that is a waste of money I am going to have to rethink this whole build

Those camshafts they advertise on their sites change all the time and for the most part are not even updated. Both parties have said just that to myself. Like Rowdy said, call them up and get schooled you can't go wrong.

Thats what it says but when you call and talk with him about your set up he will tell you what you can go with. I almost bought the other cam from a guy selling one on here but im glad i call Lloyd first. Told him everything i was doing and i had to pass the sniffer test and thats what he came up with.

Agreed..build a high rev 355. My build puts out damn near the same specs from some of the 383 builds on here. All about getting a quality product.

I have talked to them and not once did they mention any custom grinds to me for their set ups. Believe it or not, I know this is going to sound blasphemous, but they said that the cam I have now should work quite will with either set of heads and still pass emissions

Don't be affraid to step up to the 200cc heads. It's not going to sacrafice your low end. It will be money well spent.

LEs largest EMISSIONS cam is a 223/230 on a 112 his smallest NON EMISSION is a 226/230 on a 111 but this thread isn't about cams, or wasn't supposed to be anyway. I like the cam that I have and it makes good power so enough about that I had originally asked about heads to get some opinions

I ran the 190cc heads on my car because that was all they sold at the time I purchased. If I were in the market now, I would get the 200s. The 190s would be plenty for your setup, but down the road it is nice to have options.

Good luck with your decision.
