use what to lubricate TB?
use what to lubricate TB? yes, i am asking what i could use to lubricate the throttle body rod. I had one sandblasted completely and think that it either dried up or has a tiny piece of sand somewhere because the throttle blade likes to get stuck open where it wil "idle" a little above 1000, but you can push on the lever and it will touch the adjuster screw. Basically its ust hanging up a bit and could probably be lubricated, but i don't want to use something that if a little gets sucked in it won't do any harm. thanks guys! BTW i have a some Fluid Film and am thinking about trying that.

had the same issue with my stock TB, i'd suggest u to take the TB out if possible and clean it with with a carb cleaner, i cleaned mine with (AC Delco carb cleaner) i tried many brands but this was the best, i acctually use it to clean everything
...spray it all over the TB then use a tooth brush and brush it inside out, even the coil spring. spray again after brushing to let the dirt down and hopefully ur good to go

Take the TB off and clean it as best you can with lots carb cleaner. If you can take the TB blades off and clean the outside edges of those really well too. Then use your fluid film to lube the hell out of the bar where it goes into the TB. Some people actually use an old school return spring as well to help force it shut.
