Arrow What would you do?

So here's the situation. I was purchasing a 97 T/A 6spd car that was pretty roughed up to do a swap into my car. The car was abandoned for 6 years at a body shop we (chevy dealer) deliver parts too. That's how I found out about it. I was giving him $1500 for the car. I paid him little by little over the course of 2 months. I went by and paid off the car last thursday. I asked if I could move the car from out from to behind the shop out of the way so I could come by and have a wrecker pick it up and not have to worry about the other cars he was working on and that I would be by one day later this week to get it. So, the guy who abandoned the car seen that it was missing and went by and asked about it (I know, after 6 years right?) The guy who runs the body shop told him he sold it because he wanted to get rid of it. Well in the state of AR you have to file for a lost title and stuff which the body shop owner didn't do, (I didn't know this) so the guy still owned the car which all he had to do was pay what he owed to get it back....which is what he did! So....now I have to go back, get my money back and now I have a bunch of stuff for a 6spd swap I can't use. I bought a pro 5.0 shifter, WS6 store chrome handle, slp ****, new clutch, flywheel, 4.10 gear set, console piece, the works. So now what do I do? Just buy a swap kit someone on here has and finish it up? Sell this stupid *** car and just buy a 6spd? Buy kooks headers and put a x pipe on it? All my mods currently are in my sig. If its not in there I don't have it. I'm just really pissed and confused on what to do now. I have a bunch of quality parts and nothing to use them with now! What do I do????? Help me guys! Thanks.

Hold onto them and slowly piece together everything for the T56 Swap..be patient and catch deals that surface.

Look at mine man.. It's been apart since the end of June and I'm not in any hurry..and look what I've been able to get ahold of and done so far..hell I got really lucky with being able to get it Tuned for the new setup..I thought I would have had to spend a few hundred once I got it together to get HP Tuners or something.

Good things come to those that wait.

If you are that strapped for cash then start selling your **** to fat chicks..got to start somewhere..

This sucks. I actually think I'm just going to put the stock stuff back on it and sell it. Try to find a decent 6spd LS car or something.

I dont know about your area, but out here its easy to find M6 fbody's for cheap. i bought my M6 z28 for $1,000 bucks. Just keep looking.

I personly like the auto's a lot they are more consistant at the track and better daily driver, but the M6's are fun to drive too. Ive owned both and like both either way cant go wrong.

the kooks with the x-pipe would help you alot if you make it where you still can use your gmmg with all of that. especially if your still running stock manifolds

Well, now that I've had some time to sleep on it, I guess I'll keep the car and just try to find. 6spd somewhere. I've got about 2k to work with or I can go ahead, sell the gmmg and just put on kooks and an x pipe! Not really sure which way to go yet but any advice will be taken! Thanks again guys, and I know what you mean merv. **** happens for a reason but it seems to be happening a lot more to me lately.

So what left do you need, the pedals/crossmember/t56? Should be able to do that for $2k or less, hell $2k budget should get you one with a fresh rebuild in it. I just put a built t56 with 15k on it since the rebuild into my car, it cost me $1300.

the body shop should have put a mechanics lean on it long ago, then they would have gotten the title
