Angry One thing after another... car is backfiring now

leaving work on the way home. had to crank the car over 3 times then it finally starts. driving home feels just super sluggish and car vibrated alot that it would normally. Try to speed up passed 3500rpm and it would just back fire. Limp it home through back streets and park.. then dies. Starts up fine but back fires when i go to rev it. Go figure, about to go on vacation and car wants to do this.

check your plugs wires, make sure one didnt fall off. i had this same problems and a plug wire had came off. or if its close to the headers it could be arcing.

Ugh... same friggin plug is arcing even worse now. I'm just going to replace the damn wires and throw on some boots. Any recommendations for plug wires and boot covers? The one plug that keeps arcing is really close to the header. I can take a pic tomorrow and show you guys what kind of clearance there is. I'm hoping that's it.

either buy 2 sets of wires and use the longest wires and route them away from everything or just buy the over the valve cover style.

Yea i was leaning to the otvc setup. Msd plug wires or just stick with ac delco?
Going to replace coil as I'm not sure how old it is. thinking of going msd 8.5 wires and msd coil? good idea or bad idea?

Looks like theres cc performance that does the otvc kit. That should solve my burning plug wire problem. Maybe then the impala weill run properly.
