M6 and it will be completely stock after the engine goes into it. And my budget is probably about 400-600 dollars atm. shelling out most of my money on a roller.

To be done right with all of the supporting modifications for a bone stock motor, you're looking at around $2000.

If it was out of those 3, cam would be my choice. That would make the most power.

If it was me I would stab in a hotcam or cc503 and use the stock rockers and just put in some better springs. It wouldnt be the smartest choice, but a cam change would be far easier with the engine out of the car than with it in it. Then I could ad boltons when the cash flows in.

But.... you say you've never seen a cam, so Im gonna say get some headers or you may end up costing yourself some big $$$.

Since you only have a couple hundred dollars then doing a cam should wait. Focus on the basics like a cold air and some headers first

a good catback so it sounds good. then start saving. 4-600 is not much at all and you won't be doing anything the 'right' way.

If you buy used parts, you could easily do a cam swap for around $600. That is the way I would go since you already have the motor out it would make things ALOT easier.

but if his car is completely stock why throw a cam set-up in it ESPECIALLY when he admits he has no idea what he is doing with cam's. I would say start with minor bolt-on's. such as exhaust and a CAI. Buy used to make the most use of your money

I was assuming he had atleast minor bolt-ons, if he doesn't, then that's where he should start.
