Time to get serious with HP
Time to get serious with HP Okay I'm starting the project soon, I want everyone opinions.
First off it's the car in the sig I'm going to look to make 400-450 fwhp.
Basically it's a street car, but I don't care if its illegal for on road driving it will be driven on the street. It's already gutted to 3150lbs with me in it, so let me ask you lt1 guys a few questions now I'm going to try an keep this on a bit of a budget. So give me some names of stuff thats good bang for your buck.
First off I want some good headers some brand you would swear by
2nd What kind of heads would you buy, or would you just port the stock heads. What intake? what valves should be used?
3rd being that I'm not trying to make a huge amount of power, should I worry about the internals such as the crankshaft?
4th Whats a good cam shaft to run I'm looking for a package deal you know lifters and push rods. I have 1.6RRs btw
Anything else I'm forgetting enlighten me this will be a project over the winter, I'll be beefing up the t56 slightly. So I'll probably wind up removing the motor and going from there on a stand with it.

check them both out, if you can wait theres going to be an AI group purchase around new years I believe. I wouldn't worry about the intake, do some gasket matching on your own or if you really want have one of them^^ port it. def upgrade the rod bolts while you have it out. be sure to get a mail order or dyno tune when its all done too

yeah I'm actually starting to save money first I just wanted to see the prices, that way I can just buy it all at once. I'll probably have somewhere between 3k-5k in savings by X-mas like a present to myself
