Stock bottom end LE2 w custom cam made 415rwhp. Now its a forged 355

 

Well guys, I finally got around to tinkering with the car again.

I checked the spark plugs, they were all good, wasn't the problem.

I adjusted forever on the rockers. Loosening and tightening. Sometimes the noise would quieten up a little bit but they were really tight. I tightened til there was an engine change. But with no good results.

I really have no clue what's wrong with this engine and why its making such an obnoxious noise. You can steadily give it gas and its "clack, clack, clack, clack". Not a "tick" more of a "clack". I'm gonna save some cash and buy the stainless steel rockers you guys previously mentioned. If that don't fix it. Looks like I'll be rebuilding another engine. Or taking it out and checking it over at least.

Any other suggestions?

Anyone else have this problem?

Do you think its the rockers going bad? Like I stated before a rocker or two aren't oiling quite as good...
