you wont notice really any difference. It does help by not having hot coolant flowing through the throttle body heating up the air passing through.

hot water is circulated thru tb for those very cold winter mornings, to heat up the incoming air some.
unless u live in some state where ur driving in freezing climate. u dont really need it.

I just got a little kit for it on ebay. The seller showed a dyno chart with the bypass picking up 6hp. So 6hp for a few bucks is a good idea in my book. It's not going to change anything until the engine gets up to running temp. I'll probably keep the coolant running through it in the winter though.

Car Craft did an article on the LT1 free mods several years back. They showed a 5 h.p. difference with the mod. I changed mine but I couldn't tell a real difference.

It is to keep the TB from icing when driving in extreme cold for long periods. On a cold winter morning when you start your car, everything is the same temp (unless you have a block heater).

You don't need any parts to do a bypass on 95-97s.

Yeah, you can buy a rubber cap kit from any hardware store or even Wal-Mart and do it yourself. I payed like 4$ for mine. I dont drive my Comp During the winter anyways. Thats what V6 Firebirds were made for, damn thing actually drives better in the snow then my V8...lol

I have driven my car in single digits before with no problems after I bypassed the TB.
