Speed Inc's Hid kit after driving the car for a year with POS headlights i finally got sick and tired enough to do something about it. i searched and found that speed inc sells a full bolt in HID kit for all f-bodies. for $200 shipped with replacement housings i took it as a deal. the install was very straight forward and very simple. just remove the old housings, and then install the new ones along with mount up the ballast. new vs old http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...T/Img_3391.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...T/Img_3385.jpg you can see where i had mounted the ballast right behind the high beams http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...T/Img_3396.jpg in conclusion anyone that has an F-body should Seriously look into this kit or kits that are similar. the difference on the road is amazing i can actually see whats ahead of me! its in my top 5 must do mods to an f body thats for sure. if their is one thing i can nit pick about its that where you hook up the ballast to the light plug. the cables were backwards and the negative went tot he postive and vis versa. i just simple reversed the plug and all was good. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...T/Img_3389.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...T/Img_3387.jpg |
Sweet, I was thinking about doing this but now im sold on it. very nice |
Did it on my Firebird awhile back. I only drove it a few times in the dark before I pulled the motor but they are 10X better than the factory ones. The fiancee has some on her car and I am going to put some on my truck. |
Hmm do they have these for my Trans Am? lol my little thing is broken off so my high beams don't work.. maybe this will be my solution |

There was a thread on this a couple weeks ago. You can modify the stock housings by heating up the glue that holds the bulb in. Remove it and rtv the new bulbs in. You can get the 9006 hid kit for 65.00 shipped on ebay and save yourself 135.00 https://ls1tech.com/forums/lt1-lt4-m...light-kit.html |

And they are amazing. |
We appreciate the order and positive feedback on this product. There are many kits out there and we tried a few on our personal cars before chosing these. We have had 0 issues and it's a nice simple bolt in / clip in deal. I have the housing already with just upgraded bulbs, but will be doing this kit soon so I can see at night. |
they look great! I'm sick of driving around with my high beams all the time! |
I don't see an option for light output. Is 4300k available? |

Paid $50 shipped for mine. You guys are crazy spending that much. |

The big issue I see with those kids is that the housings were never designed to handle that type of bulb. It's not an issue of the amount of light, it's the focus and proper shape of what is emitted. |
3 Attachment(s) I used a 9006 kit I had previously on my truck, I didnt even have to heat up the glue. Just pryed up on the original bulb with hardly any pressure and it popped right out! Heres a few pics. |
Just got a kit today on ebay, 9006's 6000k, 45 shipped to my door. I'll let you know how it is when it shows up.. |
I regret selling my HID's.. I seriously can't see shit at night. I'm buying some more soon. |

they have them for every application except mine. My car has a 98 front end upgrade and for some reason they skip that year. |
