NO! that round circle in the middle is a fake projector. it really does nothing and IMO it looks kinda ugly. get one without it. I bought ebay ones that were the PILOT brand. it had a color changing ring around the outside i got rid of.

The only "hard" part about wiring in a Hi / Lo HID kit is the slight grinding of the metal, trimming plastic, and generally making generic stuff fit our cars - it only took me a couple hours, a set of tin snips, and a Dremmel.

If I can do it anybody can!

PM me if you'd like the name of the folks I purchased my "kit" from.

I did 10k hid's in my camaro. I used the stock housings and an ebay hid kit. It took like a day to install cause the silicon had to dry and set. The result is bad ***. I'll have to take some pics.

and do you think i should just get rid of high beams and hid the fogs instead. cause honestly all i ever use the high beams for is to flash them (and you cant do that with hids) and to mess with friends driving in front of me

Got my 4300k 9006 HIDs from DDM Tuning for $50 shipped and it was a plug and play 20 min install. Now I can see!!! No need to spend more than that on an HID kit.

Yea I only spent 60 on my kit too, but was not sure if on the lt1's had to use new housings, wich is why I posted the kit from speedinc kit. Glad there is a cheaper way 200 seemed steep!!

I got mine from ebay too, something like $52 shipped. My dad is running them in his truck too without any problems.

I need to order my high beams and fogs now though, and get some for my tahoe LOL. But I just pulled my old lights out of the housing and siliconed the new HIDs in. Done and done, nor need for $200 POS housings, I heard they break really easily.

BTW I got 4300K, no need to go with a higher number, the light doesn't get any brighter, just changes color
