TCS/ABS question
TCS/ABS question Traction control hasn't worked on my 95 T/A since I bought it, and the brakes have never been what I would call great. They do stop the car and all pads and rotors are good, braking just isn't impressive. The traction control will be on when I start the car and as soon as I start driving forward the TCS OFF dash light comes on. Anyway, I got caught in the rain the other night and decided to try my ABS and see if my tires would lock up and slide on the wet pavement. The front tires locked up and slid but the rears did not. I am now wondering if I have an ABS problem also. I have never seen the ABS INOP light come on, maybe the bulb is out? Any ideas on where to start looking or what to check???
Well, first, turn your key on and see what lights come on right away and then turn off and make sure the light is in fact coming on before start up and going back off. It is at the bottom somewhere of the dash lights. If it doesn't, start there...check the bulb. After that, wheel speed sensors tend to be the next culprit for lack of ABS and traction control issues as they are right there on the wheel hub and wiring can get caught up or the sensors can just go bad. Start there.

ha wow! same thing wit me!!! only my fronts lock up and that only happens sometimes lol. My abs inop light is on. But yea i think what we have to do is replace the whole ABS unit and im not doing that ****. so yea Good luck
