trickflows overported?

Default trickflows overported?

I have a set of trickflow heads that have been ported on. One port has been gone through into the bolt hole for a head bolt. Is this fixable or useable? Gonna try to upload photos I have posted on snapfish here http://www3.snapfish.com/thumbnailsh...NAME=snapfish/ any input is appreciated any way to fix? Thanks Jeff

I cant tell by the pics: Is that bolt hole a blind hole in te block or does it contact the coolant passages?

BTW, who ported them?

Same thing happened on my trickflows, luckily the engine builder was able to fix it. As long as you are not going into a coolant passage you should be fine. Mine went into a bolt hole and he was able to fix it.

It looks like its just a bolt hole for a head bolt. Heads were on a 383 stroker I got in a 97 ws6 formula bought at an auction in colorado. Motor was unfired I am just tearing it down and inspecting everything. Here is a pic pen is in the hole where damage occurred. How did they fix it? Thanks for the responses. Jeff

The third pic makes it look like it cracked the casting. Anything can be tigged on and retapped if that helps.

Thats not a crack for some reason whoever put it together got that red permatex sealant all over the heads. Yeah a sleeve sounds like an excellent idea. Not sure about the machine shops around here if they'd be able to do it. I guess I will have to check around on monday. Thanks guys I at least feel a lil better about it now. Thanks Jeff
