Strange dying issue
Strange dying issue I have a very strange problem were in the last few days the car will randomly shut off when driving. Most times i can start it right up without stopping, however other times it will not fire however it will crank. Eventually it will usually fire up after several key turns etc. I datalogged everything during these times and nothing looked abnormal except the alt voltage was between 12.9-13.1. I went ahead and replaced the alt and it fired right up and showed it right at 13.0volts. After firing it up for the first time and letting it warm up and turned it off and now it will not start. No codes, no bad fuses. I have bypassed my MSD box, and Don't know what else to look at. Any ideas
A quick update is that it drops out right when it switches over to closed loop, it's strange because when it won't start it seems to have no spark. Being in closed loop i wouldn't think it would effect spark, of course air and fuel....
