Default 95 blown ss

Just procurred a supercharged 95impala ss. The guy i bought from leaned it out and burned a piston up. we just got the head off. we were wondering if we can drop the oil pan with out jacking the engine up so we can pull off the rod cap and slide the piston out the top. hoping that sense this is a lot bigger than an fbody we will be able to

You have to lift the engine off the mounts a couple inches but then you can get the pan off with the engine in the car.

If you need one I can probably find a stock piston for you.

Post the pn on the piston. I HIGHLY doubt jegs has the right piston for $18.
Stockers are a Mahle hyereutectic with a metric ring pack that is fairly light for an OEM piston.

It of course would be better to go forged BUT since the OP does not want to pull the engine he is not doing a build so scratch that idea.

you are correct sir. I was wrong they don't sell the right ones. if you still got that stocker piston i will gladly take it. I wish i could justify forging the motor and camming it but the blower doesn't make more then 5 psi. it is the junk sn 2000 from paxton. we are just fixing it to sell cause we got a great deal on a solid ccar. we paid 1200 for the car. it runs and drives. thanks for the help guys
