Default Sts turbo setup help

Current car got totaled and I bought a new 96 m6 car with intercooled sts turbo, meth inj, digital boost controller, Walbro pump, injectors, but no engine. Mine I'm wanting to swap is stock longblock with cc503 cam w/ 1.6s, 52mm TB, ML headers, msd, EWP. Is it gonna work and how much boost safely with and without meth? Is it even worth the swap or should I just start from scratch with forged internals? What kind of numbers have you guys seen with these sts kits? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Dont waste your time. That kit will make way more than your stock short can handle. While you have it out freshen it up and add at least some forged pistons to lower compression, and better rod bolts.

Then pick a more boost-friendly cam.

depends on how big your pockets are. if on a budget ya go ahead and throw that system on that stock cam'd block. you should be able to run anywhere from 4-6 psi safely w/o the meth and w/ it you should be able to run 6-8 psi w/ a good dynotune. if you have the money then go ahead and turn it into a 355 w/ some good pistons and rods, drop the compression and up that boost to make some good power.

How much will the stock crank hold? Or should I run a forged crank and splayed mains? Would it be better run cast heads in case of detonation? How much boost should I expect with this setup? Thanks for all the advice.

The stock crank can handle anything. Its the stock rods and pistons you need to worry about. I would never run boost on a stock lt1 bottom end. Build a 355 using the stock crank with forged rods and pistons.
