Default stock fuel system..

how much horespower is the stock fuel system good for? 97 lt1 6 speed car by the way

my friend made 500 hp on the stock pump b4 he changed it to a 255.

Depends..you talking about changing the Injectors..or how much the whole thing is capable of with the best Pump & Injectors before you have to upgrade the lines?

I made 389 rwhp and 365 rwtq with the stock pump, injectors and lines... but, my duty cycle on the injectors was through the roof!

I've since upgraded to 42lb injectors and Racetronix pump/hot-wire kit... my engine thanked me.

That was a while back (few years) and I've forgot the exact percentage numbers... well north of 100% I know that.

Tuner chuckled and pointed to it, suggested a fuel upgrade be planed soon.

I'm not saying that the stock system should be used to support those power levels, just that it held up for over 1 year in my care before the upgrade.
