no power on some days??

no power on some days??

hey guys i need some help thinking on this one. so my brothers 94 lt1 has been having this problem where it will start up fine and hold voltage. and you can turn the car off and it will start back up fine. but then on some days you go to get in, and nothing, no lights, no clicking, or anything. this is all from what he has told me. the first time he told me, i checked all his connections to the batt, and grounds visible. but he says it has done it today. im thinking there may be a cut in a wire some where, or that the ground on the block is loose?? and help would be great, before i go and tackel this.

Grounds, loose wire to the starter, bad/corroded/loose battery terminals, etc. He's probably overlooking something along those lines.

would the ignition switch make it so nothing has power?

if he has voltage and a no start issues I'd say ignition switch, happened to me

I had to do mine in a parking lot with a shitty selection of tools, definately exciting having a door open to a car in an empty parking lot working under the steering column off a major road. suprisingly no cops came in to see wtf I was doing.
