finally in the 9's!!!
had a new personal best this weekend at the Buick Vs. Ford event in Noble, OK. first time at a 1/4mi track with the turbo and she outperformed my every expectation.
first qualifying pass was a 10.21 @ 130mph. added one degree of timing and tried again. 10.04 @ 134mph. found out i was paired up w/ a mustang that qualified w/ a 9.80 so we decided to see how much timing she would take. added 2 more degrees and finally broke well into the 9's. 9.64 @ 140mph! seems to like the timing better than we thought. 24.5* timing and 24psi boost (injector duty cycle was touching 100%)
keep in mind, this is a stock block LT1 W/ 70,XXX miles and absolutely no filling, stock mildly ported heads, stock intake ported to 58mm, and retains all the little creature comforts (a/c, heat, stereo, pwr windows, pwr leather seats, etc). race weight a few weeks ago was 3850lbs with me in it!
got to meet a couple of extremely nice people from this website and i appologize but with all the excitement, i forgot what you guys said your names were on here (horrible w/ names to begin with). nice talking to you guys and i really appreciate all the compliments. makes all this worth while! if everything goes well, i'll make the LTX Shootout and Buick Vs. Ford next year.

thanks guys.
Ray, the 1/8th on the 9 sec pass was also a personal best by a long shot. previous best was a 6.37 @ 110mph. that pass netted a 6.15 @ 112mph! the air must have just gotten pretty good that night.

Congrats again! I caught the tail end of your 9.6 pass saw you coming down the pit road afterward. BTW, it was me and Warren Dempsey that you talked to on Saturday. And like Ray said, please send us some info on your turbo setup so we can compare them to our current power adder class restrictions for the LTX Shootout. We'd love to be able to accommodate more setups.

actually I was running C16 and had the a/f targeted @ 11.5/1. it was pushing it a little, but I wanted to make sure I could cover the other guy. sad thing is, he broke before the final.

thanks again for all the kind words guys. only video i can find is when the car was still a six speed w/ a 76mm and a2a intercooler. got it down to a 6.75 @ 104 back then. that was 2 years ago... damn how time flies. hopefully i can find a good video of the passes in oklahoma from one of the turbobuick guys. combo now is 3.50 gear, 3600 stall (no idea which one since the guy that built the tranny ordered it), th350, 28X10.5S tire. anyway, enjoy.

Dammit its cars like this that make me wanna go turbo instead of nitrous.
How streetable is your setup? Can you post pics of your engine bay. I just wanna see what the turbo and intercooler look like with the A/C and p/s
