Default Blown Head Gasket..

Just wanted to make sure it is a blown head gasket...
There is water coming out of the passenger side hearder, towards the back.
The car is a 94 Z28 with 153K miles on it.

Any help is appreciated.

ya sounds like a head gasket. i would replace both of them cause most likely the other one will go out soon...

That's what I was afraid of. How tought of a project is it to replace the gasket?

its not too bad. Much easier to drop the engine out if you have the ability to do so. If not it can be done in the car. I just did mine in the car along with my car swap. Get the heads milled to clean them up and get some arp head bolts as well. I used victor reinz gaskets that are .026 to increase my compression ratio a little as well. These gaskets are only .002 smaller than the impala gaskets which work just as well.

the hardest part is getting these lines on and off. They have to be installed outside of the engine bay due to lack of room once the heads are installed. Also pull both heads off with the lines in tacked. Done make the mistake of trying to get off while on the car and then ruin the banjo bolts. I hade to buy a whole line line and bolts.

You can get the coolant crossover steampipe off in the engine bay with the correct tools. But yes that would be coolant your leaking and need to do both head gaskets. Btw where is H town?

Wow, you did it the hard way. You can get the banjo bolts out with a 15mm ratcheting box end and a hammer (to break them loose).

also when you take the banjo bolts and the steam pipe off make sure the inside is clean an the colant flows freely when you installed back. mine was full of crap inside and it seemed that the colant wasn't getting to the back of the heads. I end up putting a hose and some metal fittings from the local autoparts.
