Tranny questions and help

My 4L60E in my 94 LT Camaro. when put in OverDrive it will not shift out of 2nd. when Starting in 1st and shifting to 2nd and then drive the Odrive it shifts fine. What causes this problem??? Also my speedo registers but when running 55 it reads 115 or so... Any ideas on this??? Thanks

I'm not sure on your speedo issue, but it sounds like you got a bad shift solenoid. In a year of owning my car w/ the 4l60e I had to replace all of them because my car wouldn't downshift. Then I lost OD and swapped to a T56. But It also could be a problem in your PCM.

Sounds like the PCM was tweaked and someone didn't know what they were doing.
