Default EWP and fan clearance

So I've got a Meziere water pump which is now in the way of the fans. We had to pull the shroud forward and drill a new hole, but it affects the closing of the hood. What is usually done about this?

Leave the fan shroud in the stock position and just trim it where the pump hits. You don't need to relocate anything.

Hey:

I took a disc sander with a med-fine disc on it, and ground the top fan shroud plastic supports down about an half an inch or more till I got the clearance and spacing I needed between the two. Its about a 60 degree angle, just slide the fans in from the bottom, and take off as little material as you can till it fits and has an 1/8" to 1/4" space between the pump and the fan shroud, about a half to 1 on difficulty. Just the time consuming measuring and sanding with the sliding up of the fans a few times, checking you don't take off too much material, pretty easy really, just take your time. And as been stated before all stays in its stock location.

x3

This is the HD pump (a little biger than the standard one)
But you get the idea.

Keep in mind that you are trimming the FAN shroud (plastic guard between the fan and engine),
not the radiator shoud (flat platic on top of the radiator)
