lt1 no fire

my buddy has a 1996 trans am and it will just crank and crank and no fire on spark plugs nor coil. any ideas ???? checked with test light and there is power to the coil and he was told the optispark was replaced.. please hit me up with any ideas thanks in advance

well check the plug wires for spark. if the opti is good you know you have spark... then you either have an air/fuel problem

I would be willing to bet its the ignition control module. Its the little black sensor looking thing right above the coil. Pull the plug and see if one of the prongs inside are bent. I had this happen and it drove me crazy.
