lt4 heads question
If I recall, some welding to get the intake ports to match up. It has been a while, I am sure someone else can chime in. There is def cost involved. I made decent power with my LT1 ported castings, Edlebrock sells a LT4 style intake, not anything of an improvement but would/should have the required ports.
It will just have a narrow sealing margin at the top of the ports. Internally the LT4 manifold is the same as the late LT1 manifolds.
Guys HAVE sucessfully used the LT1 intake on LT4 heads without sealing problems and since it is internally the same it wont hurt power compared to an as cast LT4 manifold.
