Default Upgrading MAF. Which one?

With the new build I'm pretty sure I'm going to surpass the limits of the stock MAF. I've done some searching but am a little confused on which part number I need.

GM 25341604
-- or --
GM 25318411 which is replaced by 15904068

They both appear to be 85mm but which one should I use?

Yeah, they both have a multitude of applications. I just don't know the differences.

The 85MM MAF with a stock ECU has less of an operating range the then stock MAF from what I understand. We had nothing but issues with my car above 5K rpm and went back to a stock unit.

though we did make a little more power we could not get the A/F to be accurate

SD would be the way to go, but from what I read it's very time consuming

That's good info Larry. If I can find one of these $20 ones then maybe I can test it out and revert back if I need to.

Sean had no problems with his nor did I way back when. Should work fine with the correct maf tables.

+1 for SD

Wasnt Moe B making 640rwhp with a stock MAF sensor? I think the stock sensor can handle more than folks give it credit for. Just dont go aftermarket. From every tuner Ive talked too, aftermarket MAF sensors are junk and a pain in the a$$ to tune.

Might be some value and 'smoothing' it up but thats all Id do if it was me. Of course Im SD so its not me

GL man.

I too also thought the stock MAF was good for quite a bit of power?

I went speed density, as did two of my other buddies.

SD is full of win. easy to tune, snappier throttle response imo, and you can run an open tb at the track
