Unhappy need desperate help

Long story guys please bear with me. So i've mentioned im doing an LE1 stage heads and cam and I bought a new timing chain from a guy here in waco and he ran it on a 93 LT1. its a good chain but i dnt kno wut brand. it also came with a "spacer" and his timing cover doesn't have opti hole he eliminated it so i put on my old timing cover but the crank gear touches with my old cover. I think its just the spacer that i dnt need but dnt wana install everything untill im sure it will work without it?? also i had left my opti and alternator in the trunk of the car and somehow rain got in so they both Got wet!!! and I cnt find the bolt size for a 3600 TCI stall. Everything went wrong in one day So if anyone can give me info on chain(not double roller) n spacer or sell me a opti for cheap or think mine could possibly still work I'd appreciate it so much. Thanks!!

I dont understand why you would need a spacer for the gear... what cam are you running...? Your stock cover should be fine just remove that spacer that you dont need.. Also, the alternator should be fine.. I dont think anything would have happened to it if it got wet, unless it was under water for a couple of days then yeah... might want to open it up and check it out.. same for the opti.. open it up and check that the opti pick up and disk are ok.. make sure its not getting rusted inside.. if its nice and clean..you should be good... as far as the bolts.. sorry cant help there..

Yea thanks man i needed more opinions on that spacer and i talked to the guy finally and he said it should work fine without it so I sure hope it does. N I finally got of hold of someone at TCI who knew what they were talking about and shipped my bolts out. Hopefully the opti and alternator do work like you say it just seems real risky being electrical. I'll let ya kno how it works out. if any other suggestions please let me kno. thanks again
