Default cai question

LOOKING 2 BUY A CAI OFF A 96 SS. I HAVE A 93 Z28. WOULD IT FIT? AND IF IT DOESN'T CAN I put a RUBBER TUBING 2 MAKE IT FIT?

do you have the ss hood?


the SS cai is kind of a stupid design since it sits right above the engine sucking in all that hot air around it. let alone the bends it has to make for the hood

If everything is in tact the CAI is sealed. The only air the intake is getting is from the outside. Regardless of the debate the gains have been proven to be somewhat noteworthy at higher speeds.

No. Your stock hood may not even close. If it does the intake will be awfully close to the hood when it's shut.

Well the guy had the ss but he has a stock z28 hood oh his car so it will fit I guess

sorry i should re-phrase my post above. Your gonna get all the heat soak with it above the engine like it is. thats what i meant
