Yeah, I guess because of what ulakovic22 is saying bout the o2 being near the end of the collector.

Heard back from pcmforless. They still recommend open loop with only the two foot header extention that I have. So I will stick with there recommendation till I can get a package from L.E. or A.I. then hit the dyno for a better tune.

Spoke with pcmforless again. Misunderstood what they told me. They are gonna keep it in a closed loop since I have the header extensions. This is good news to me. Now I just have to wait to get everything back to see if it was indeed the vats causing the issues.

There are those with a true dual exhaust setups that aren't running much more pipe than you who run closed loop. I don't think there would be enough reversion, especially on a stock engine to cause any trouble. As stated though, once you get the PCM **** sorted out, get to a dyno and see what's going on with a wide band 02 sensor.

I forgot to mention that if it runs too poorly, which I don't think it will, then they told me to just unplug the O2's and it will revert back to an open loop.

Yes, but still check out what your mixture is doing with a wide band especially if performance is taken into consideration.
Don't know what it is, but I've seen a T-bucket with a LS1 and I much prefer the look of a LT1. I guess it's because it seems to have more charisma. Especially the intake/valve cover area.

Will do. I agree about the LT1's looking better. I yanked this off a caprice in a junkyard painted it to match the rest of my bucket.

I think it looks like a carb breather from a distance, so does everyone else.

Thanks for that info. I didn't know that about a hybrid application. The only time I had a problem like his was due to a disconnected MAF.

I appreciate the heads-up.

ok i havent read the entire thread yet. so im sorry. but yes i completely agree its definatly a vats problem. cause i had this happen when i did my V6/A4- LT1/M6 swap. the little module on the pass side by the airbag had to be swapped and after redoign my entire fuel system and checking every single damn wire and code and all that i swapped the box out and it ran perfect. so yes its a vats problem. and if you still have the car it is a module by the pass airbag for me. or bryan at PCMforless should be able to program it out

Glad I could help. By the way, that is the only time I have ever seen a 'homeplate' look good on something.

Thanks. I've got the fuel rails polished underneath and think bout polishing the intake later on. If i go through with it, I'll yank the "homeplate" off to show off the bling.

I seen this thread a week ago and didnt have time to post, then I came back and wouldnt find it.
I was gonna say VATs as well. My buddy and I were putting his interior back in from a cage install. The car ran fine for anout 5 seconds then shut down. We checked everything. After about an hour of troubleshooting, print reading and head scratching we fount the VATS modual that plugs in under the dash. Problem solved.
Glad you got yours fixed, Its a good liooking ride. Love the retro fit Lt1 stuff
